stumbled upon luxirare when i was web-browsing
the site is amazing!!
hers is different from that of the other style bloggers i read,
because she blogs equally about food and fashion.
its like having a fan site for both Marilyn Manson and the Jonas brothers, but she totally makes it work. (p.s Manson and Lady Gagas' new work= hot)
and the clothes she makes are just incredible
INCREDIBLE!
and, i dont know how she does it, but her photos are so big and clear
i cant help waxing lyrical about it
take at look below at her creations
both of the sartorial and gastronomical variety
lace-up black skinnies, nude motorcycle jacket, silk and organza dress
her version of eggs benedict and truffle icecream (both with recipes!!!!)
she brings DIY to a whole new level
i think i found my new girl crush
omg
tell me you dont feel it too
whilst blogging, i remembered what yi told me ages ago
because i m not one of the naturally skinny girls and i love food
its always a challenge balancing my weight
she said that if i only eat good food
i ll be fine
plus its costs more so i wont have $$ to blow on crap like fast food.
trick is, the only part, and discerning what counts as good food
but i m working on it!
but yes my point is, luxirare is totally making that statement too
i imagine.
well thats what i got anyway, lol
fashion is having the biggest backlash against boho
i never even got to wear half my floral dresses
everything i m craving now is sculptural, tie dyed, distressed, studded, has fur or a combination thereof.
which begets the question
i love it now, but will i love it in six months?
i overdosed on boho the last time, i never ever want to see a floral maxi again.
fashiontoast, armani prive eyeshadow, givenchy boots, unknown, gripp editorial
sigh. plus looking at these pictures reminds that i am in fact a student
who has to dress 'professional' 3 days a week
and therefore will not have many opportunities to wear these out
or have them appreciated/understood
and the biggest problem is sometimes i just dont get up early enough to do the requisite styling
bah.
speaking of wearing fur
i know this must be incredibly slow, given that X factor is long over
but i just recently jumped on the Susan Boyle bandwagon
yes, i finally youtubed her and watched her performance of Memory from Cats
slightly underwhelming, but pretty good
i watched Cats when they were in Singapore when i was young
and it gave me the heebie jeebies
those humans pretending to be cats and contorting themselves weirdly
with fur where hair should never ever be on humans
urgh
its too unnnatural
i know Cats has a huge following
but i only like two things from it
the song Memory by Elaine Page
and the name MacCavity. lol
hrm.
maybe i ll rethink the fur gilet
