bri's

bri's birthday!

someone's big 21st OOOOOoooooOOHHHHHH
hahaha

had a great dinner at the Brasserie at Crown
usually i have trouble getting really enthusiastic about mains
but the food here was exceptional!

maitre d was a bit rude, but i guess we were pretty late for our reservations on a very rainy night
and anyway
the food was so good
all is forgiven

beef carpaccio

FRIGGIN OMG AMAZING ESCARGOTS. now little snails arent usually something to be all excited about, but i promise you, these, were yummmmmm

kingfish

bouillabaise

my main, which was the lamb. this was really really good, and one of the few times i actually like lamb
so get this. or the duck confit, that was pretty amazing too

i mean, just look at it
ITS SO TENDER
MAKES YOU WANT TO POKE IT
OMG

stella's dessert, i forgot what it was
green apple sorbet and jelly with apple crisps

chocolate tart with passionfruit and caramel dressings. and a cheese board in the background

<3!

this place really left me wanting more
i want to go back!!

:D

phoam

had the degustation at Koots for dad's birthday
was great till it became nighttime and all the mosquitoes came out

if you ever want to try Koots for dinner, the indoor tables are the best.
love Koots though, its like the kind of restuarant i would love to own
food is yummy, decor and winelist is also up there, but it doesnt have a huge commercialized vibe

kinda like Hanabishi, but french

St Helen's oysters served 3 ways, the wasabi mayo is so good i came home and tried to create my own, but failed :(

heritage vegetables, white asparagus, and proscuitto. and chanterelle mushrooms!!!

quinoa salad and grilled salmon. salmon was perfect, just cooked enough to be flaky and crisp but raw inside
pork belly. not a fan, but thats just my things about all pork belly dishes in general

the champange granita was pretty good, but the best was the salted caramel and butter foam inside the wafer. YUMMMMMMMMS.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD :)

going to combine the above post with the one about foam party
they were on completely seperate nights,
and there is no connection at all
except,
i love eating out
and i love foam parties

PHOOOOOOOOOAMMMMMMMMMMM
:D

hehehehe

xx

post exams etcetc

love the 1st week after exams
studying is over, there is ages till the results come out
the parties just keep coming,
and it feels bloody awesome with absolutely nothing to think about but what to wear, which event to attend, and if i should get hair extensions.

which i did btw, still feels a bit weird and needs a little getting used to
i still feel zen-like after a super day at the spa salon yesterday
nothing can faze me
my skin has the post facial glow,
plus i have glittery gel overlays on my nails
which is something i never thought i would get, but now that i have them, i actually quite like.

will post photos of the hair and nails soon, have this huge backlog of photos from the past week to pick through!

had African dinner at the Abynissian. it was so different, and very yummy. the flat bread was pretty sour and it was a bit of a surprise, but it went well with the dishes we ordered. they had a spicy fish dish, and also a kangaroo dish, and they were really good!

check out how huge the plates were

partying at Seven. still tossing up whether to go tonight, but kudos to the other dent party animals, i dont know how they do it, i m exhausted!

ABC shots, my new nemesis, but somehow they always guarantee a fun night.

night beaching at st kilda

the beach at night is kinda feral, but after a while the cool sand does feel kinda nice between your toes.

late night chats in the car

supper at supper club

more to come, but i have to post some letters, brb!
